Please note that this guidance document was written against Edition 3 of UK-SPEC. An update to align this guidance to the new Edition 4 of UK-SPEC is under way and we expect to have an updated Edition in the near future. Members are advised to use this guidance as informative rather than definitive, as UK-SPEC Edition 4 has modified some of the competency statements. It is recommended that anyone interested in applying for professional registration uses UK-SPEC Edition 4 as their starting point, as that defines the competency evidence requirement.
