Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an essential activity for every individual who is actively practising Systems Engineering.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a structured approach to learning to help ensure competence to practice, including knowledge, skills and practical experience. CPD can involve any relevant learning activity, whether formal and structured or informal and self-directed.

For more information on CPD, read the IfSE Continuing Professional Development Policy here.

IfSE provides all members with access to mycareerpath®, an online professional development system designed by the Engineering Council to support individuals in recording their CPD.

  • Professional registration CPD submissions may be recorded as part of IfSE Professional Member's CPD activity and submitted directly for annual audits using mycareerpath®.
Please note: This is not mandated and other methods of documentation may be used to contribute to audits.
  • SEP Certification CPD submissions may be recorded as part of IfSE Joint Member's CPD activity.
Please note: Submissions will be required to be transferred to INCOSE documentation for PDUs to be assigned at the time of renewal.
