Professional Registration is open to all practising engineers and technicians who can demonstrate the required standard of competence and commitment for the title they are applying for.
The requirements for CEng, IEng and EngTech can be found in the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC).
IfSE offers Professional Registration to members through a dedicated route to become registered as a systems engineer. We offer individual support to candidates at each stage of the process, providing relevant information and tracking applications through assessment.

By choosing to pursue Professional Registration via this route you are agreeing that IfSE and The Engineering Council may share your personal data that is relevant to the application process. This includes the application form, any documents and information relating to your application, the Professional Registration interview, the outcome of the assessment process, and your ongoing CPD. Candidates should also be aware that, should they be required to complete a technical report in connection with their application, an additional fee will be payable in accordance with costs laid out in the IfSE Professional Registration price list.
